Spicy Ginger Riot Blend Change

We've changed the blend in our Spicy Ginger Riot. The melange now contains Ginger, Cinnamon, Apple Bits, Fennel, Coriander, Star Anise and Licorice Root. The package now contains 4 ounces instead of 3 ounces.

We welcome any comments on the new blend, and as always appreciate your support.

Normal shipping resumes January 5, 2009.

Changes To Our Business Model

We are making some changes. We're going to eliminate many of the smaller size packaging and focus on the eight ounce size for herbals and one pound sizes for Rooibos and many teas. We hope this is not a big inconvenience, but we are trying to elimiate carrying the same item in multiple packages. These changes should help us to process and fill orders more quickly by reducing the number of SKUs we have to maintain.

Any open order that has the smaller packaging will be filled as placed. We will start tackling one section at a time though going forward on the web site. Those of you who have our print or PDF catalog will likely receive a new one in the mail (or email).

Problems Solved - Thank You

We've had some growing pains and logistical problems, but we've taken affirmative steps to solve them. We've updated our credit card processing system and expanded our use of PayPal. We've also changed our order fulfillment process, started using FEDEX more, and moved to some more reliable tea blenders.

We are coming in to the Christmas holiday season and have ordered adequate inventory to fill orders promptly. We will post stock-outs as they occur. We have been in business since 2002, and have thousands of loyal and happy customers. To those few who we have let down, we apologize.

Tea Tasters Wanted

We are looking for about eight new tea tasters.

Responsibilities include receiving and tasting about four teas/herbals a year, and then sending in written comments about each. The comments should be meaningful and we welcome
constructive suggestions about the tea and blended ingredients.

If you are interested, send us a note via email. If you are currently tasting for another company, please disclose the same. Tasters should be able to comment on both teas and herbal blends.

Best Sellers - May 2008

Oddly our best selling items are all non-tea items. This month's best sellers include Rooibos Chai, Spiced Cinnamon Zinger and Spicy Chocolate Zinger. Our best selling tea for May, 2008 was our EU Certified Organic Masala Chai. We have also seem an uptick in our sales of Immunity Booster tea and a slight increase in Memory Aid tea.
